Sun Java System Access Manager (formerly Sun ONE Identity Server) provides centralized user authentication and authorization for protected web and J2EE resources and provides Federation Services through support for Security Assertions Markup Language (SAML), the Liberty Alliance Project's Liberty Federation Framework (ID-FF), and the Liberty Alliance Project's Liberty Identity Web Services Framework (ID-WSF). The server architecture, which is based on Java technology, provides highly scalable, high performance access management solutions that can be easily adapted and extended through provided APIs and SDKs.
