Predictive Self-Healing introduces a new software architecture and methodology for fault management across Sun's product line. The program includes a new event protocol for transmitting and recording error and fault information, as well as new fault management software and programming APIs initially implemented for the Solaris platform that allow for improved diagnosis, isolation, self-healing, and proactive prevention of faults resulting from both software and hardware components.
