Sun Web Stack is a Sun supported product comprising of popular open source web
infrastructure technologies (also sometimes referred to as LAMP or SAMP)
including Apache, MySQL, PHP, Ruby, lighttpd and Squid. Sun Web Stack product
features a comprehensive set of support offerings via subscriptions similar to
MySQL and GlassFish. As such, Sun Web Stack is an officially supported
replacement to the Cool Stack, part of the Cool Tools solutions.
In addition to serving as the forum to Cool Stack users migrating to Web Stack,
this forum will serve the needs of new community of users deploying Sun Web
Stack product on various supported platforms including OpenSolaris, Solaris 10
and Linux. For OpenSolaris specific issues and issues related to development
such as DTrace probes in Web Stack, please refer to OpenSolaris Web Stack
developer forum.
