How to set Vim as external editor
Sep 30, 2006 3:55 PM

Hello,

Can anyone please outline the steps for making Vim cooperate with Creator? I have used Vim for many years and would prefer very much to use it as my editor. However, when I make changes to the source files Creator does not always pick up the changes. I worked for approximately two years on a web based .net C# project and used Visual Studio 2003. I coded in an WinXp environment using Vim for windows. When I would switch the focus back to V.Studio after working in Vim, V.Studio would always prompt me that source files had changed outside V.Studio and ask me if I wanted to accept the changes. Is there some sort of plug in or something that will make Creator act the same way?

Environment:

Java Studio Creator 2 Update 1

Mac OS X
Version 10.4.7
Dual-Core Intel Xeon
2 gb memory

Thanks for your help,
David
