Java and Yahoo Poker Problem
Dec 6, 2004 1:22 PM

When I attempt to open tables at Yahoo Poker, they will begin to open and then suddenly close. I am successful opening the first couple of tables but after opening the 3rd or 4th table, this will occur. To successfully open anymore tables I have to close internet explorer and reopen it. Any suggestions? Yahoo tells me it is a java issue?

Here are some links to Sun help pages about Yahoo. There may be more information of interest on the site, use the Search box.

http://java.com/en/download/help/okyahoo_system.jsp
http://java.com/en/download/help/yahoo_child_lock.jsp

Here is a list of other problems - you may find something that applies.

BTW, I'm sure that it's "a Java issue" - Yahoo uses Java applets for the games. They probably haven't updated them as needed to keep up with changes in browsers and Java.

Re: Java and Yahoo Canasta problem

I have installed Java to play yahoo canasta. When I go to close out of a room I have to go to task manager because the program is not responding. It then closes me out of the internet and I have to go back on and re-enter everytime I want to go to another room when I play canasta. The report tells me I'm having a problem with Java. I have uninstall it and reinstalled it several time to no avail.
